So, what are dental veneers?
Dental veneers are custom, wafer-thin restorations that are bonded over your front teeth to improve your their shape, colour, size and alignment. They can be made from either porcelain or a resin composite. Rather than a crown that covers the entire tooth, veneers only mask the part that’s visible when you smile which means that multiple veneers side by side can make your smile look whiter, fuller, straighter and more symmetrical.
At The Grove Dental Rouse Hill, we work closely with you to understand your aesthetic goals and design the smile you have always wanted. Generally, veneers are the perfect solution for people wanting to improve the appearance of:
- Discoloured teeth
- Stains from antibiotics or other drugs, excessive fluoride, or the presence of large resin fillings
- Worn down, chipped, or broken teeth
- Misaligned, uneven, or irregularly shaped teeth
- Teeth with unsightly gaps between them
Veneer Treatment at The Grove Dental Rouse Hill
During your initial consultation, Dr Britt will take the time to listen to your concerns and will undertake a comprehensive evaluation of your mouth. She also likes to produce veneer mock-ups so that you can gain a clearer idea of how your veneers will look. There is a lot of care and precision that goes into getting the shape, colour and size of your veneers perfect so that it matches and compliments your remaining teeth and facial structure.
When you’re ready to proceed with the veneer treatment process, we will book you in for a preparation appointment where your teeth are slightly reduced and an impression taken. For the following two weeks you will wear temporary veneers while your permanent veneers are custom made. Once the permanent veneers are back from the lab, Dr Britt will fit these into your mouth, and you can start showing off your new smile.
